I am privileged to have known, and worked beside, Network 10 presented Jesse Baird for a number of years prior to his death in 2024. As the community mourned the loss of both him, and his partner Luke Davies, my colleagues too were hurting. In awe, I watched them reported the story of their murder with nothing but grace, professionalism and respect, in what was an incredibly difficult time. Working with Jesse was an absolute pleasure and his laughter filled our edit suites with joy. Alongside his families, friends and coworkers, I did my best to honour his memory, and the memory of Luke, in these tributes.
The Network 10 family has been rocked by the murder of Jesse, alongside that of his partner Luke Davies. We want to celebrate Jesse for the man he was, not the way he died. Here's how we remember him - amazingly talented, funny, beautiful inside and out, and forever loved and missed. We love you, Jesse.
More than a thousand people have gathered in the centre of Sydney to honour Jesse Baird & Luke Davies, almost two weeks after the young men were murdered, alledgedly, by a police officer. Mourners came together for a silent vigil reflecting on two lives taken too soon.
